Peter Siddle Squad

The Peter Siddle Squad was initiated to provide an opportunity for young cricketers to follow in the inspiring foot steps of Morwell local and Australian cricketer – Peter Siddle.

The Peter Siddle Squad architect, Graeme Freshwater, had the aim that the squad would help players reach higher honours including Premier cricket and potentially State and National representation. The program was designed around elite coaching, strong management, and a chance to become a fully rounded cricketer. This meant understanding the technical aspects of the game and, in addition, the finer points of umpiring, captaincy, club administration, personal fitnessand responsibility to team-mates and clubs/association. The Peter Siddle Squad has been a huge success thanks to generous sponsorship, quality personnel and the example provided by Peter Siddle.
